Responsibilities
Design and own the Azure architecture for an enterprise GIS platform
Lead cloud strategy for security, networking, high availability, and disaster recovery
Guide the migration of GIS applications, databases, and services to Azure
Set up monitoring, backups, and performance optimization
Ensure the platform is secure, stable, and production-ready
Provide technical leadership during migration and post-go-live operations
Qualification
Required
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (MANDATORY)
5+ years hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
Strong background in cloud architecture, infrastructure, and enterprise systems
Experience with on-prem to cloud migrations
Experience with GIS platforms (Esri ArcGIS or similar) is a big plus
Strong understanding of: Security & access control
Strong understanding of: High availability & disaster recovery
Strong understanding of: Monitoring & performance tuning
Comfortable working in public sector / regulated environments
Preferred
Azure Solutions Architect or similar certification
Experience running production, mission-critical systems
