Safety Internship
Wausau Supply Company is a 100% employee-owned company dedicated to providing top-quality building materials. The Safety Intern will support the Safety & Environmental team by assisting in the review and standardization of Lockout/Tagout procedures, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards, and training employees on updated procedures.

Responsibilities
Review existing LOTO procedures for accuracy and compliance
Update and standardize procedures using Brady Link360 platform
Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to verify equipment-specific isolation points
Assist in auditing LOTO procedures and identifying gaps or improvements
Develop and deliver training sessions for employees on updated LOTO procedures
Train stakeholders on effective use of Brady Link360 for managing safety documentation
Maintain documentation and version control within Link360
Participate in safety meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
Basic understanding of OSHA regulations, particularly Control of Hazardous Energy (29 CFR 1910.147)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Brady Link360 is a plus (training will be provided)
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to work alone and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
40 hours per week, working 8am-5pm
Sitting and computer use
Travel as required up to 50% including extended overnight stays
Comfortable with small plane travel
Good driving record
