Integrated Primary Prevention Training and Education Coordinator

Responsibilities
Coordinating any training and education reporting requirements to include credentialing oversight of the workforce
Identifying appropriate training and professional development opportunities for the Integrated Primary Prevention Workforce (IPPW) to develop skills and maintain currency in the IPP community
Briefing leadership on recommendations for improving primary prevention training requirements and resources
Planning, organizing, and recommending the design and development of integrated primary prevention training and education curriculum used to build a more resilient Coast Guard
Working with subject matter experts in the development of evidence-based and evidence-informed prevention activities to increase readiness by improving impacts on risk and protective factors that lead to harmful behaviors
Collaborating and cooperating with Workforce Family Services Directorate elements and other coordinating entities on IPP training and education matters
Qualification
Required
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be registered or exempt from the Selective Service
A one-year probationary period may be required

Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position
Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field
Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field
To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the federal sector
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work
Experience coordinating any training and education reporting requirements to include credentialing oversight of the workforce
Experience reviewing and analyzing social science research, scientific methodologies, training theory, and skill development to enhance the delivery of primary prevention policies, programs, and practices aimed at reducing risk factors and increasing protective factors
