Responsibilities
Own development accounting across multiple active construction projects
Prepare and manage monthly construction lender draws
Oversee job cost accounting, WIP/POC, and variance analysis
Lead month-end and year-end close for development entities
Ensure compliance with lender and JV reporting requirements
Review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
Manage and develop a small accounting team (3)
Partner closely with Development, Construction, and senior leadership
Support deal closings and transition projects to property accounting upon completion
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
5+ years of accounting experience within real estate development or construction
Proven experience with construction draws / lender reporting
Proven experience with job cost accounting & WIP/POC
Proven experience with GAAP financial reporting
Prior experience leading or mentoring accounting staff
Strong Excel skills
Preferred
ERP experience preferred (Sage Intacct / Sage 300 a plus)
