Quality Engineer Associate / Lexington, KY

Lockheed Martin's Missile and Fire Control is seeking a Quality Engineer to support the Special Operations Forces Global Logistics Support Services (SOF GLSS) program with a mission to rapidly and properly equip the SOF community with the best possible systems and equipment anywhere in the world. The role involves auditing and monitoring enterprise processes, collaborating with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards, and performing QA Engineering metrics gathering for management review.

Responsibilities

Auditing and monitoring of enterprise processes
Participating in the collaboration of engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are being implemented
Performing QA Engineering metrics gathering and compiling for higher management level review

Qualification

Technical Engineering DegreeSAP ExperienceISO 9001/AS9100 KnowledgeLean/Six Sigma CertificationMicrosoft Office SuiteInterpret DrawingsSpecificationsWork independently

Required

Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college in a technical discipline (e.g., engineering field) or equivalent discipline (e.g., math, physics, chemistry, etc.)
Functional use of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)

Preferred

Technical Engineering Degree in one of the following disciplines: Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
SAP Experience
Ability to interpret Drawings, Specifications, Contracts that will enable development and review of QE Processes, and related Performance Metrics
Knowledge of ISO 9001/ AS9100 requirements with interpretation and application experience
Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification
Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision in a fast-paced environment
