As an engineering intern in the water resources engineering group, you will participate in various public water and drainage-related projects and engage in the in-house staff development program.

Responsibilities
Participate with project teams on a variety of public water and drainage-related projects, including commercial development assessment and design, hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, FEMA studies, roadway drainage design, flood warning system development, and public infrastructure projects
Engage in the in-house staff development program
Qualification
Required
BS in Civil Engineering or completing coursework
Completed or currently enrolled in university-level coursework in hydrology and/or hydraulics
Accepted to or planning to apply for a graduate program in Civil Engineering (Water Resources emphasis preferred)
Strong written communication and technical writing skills
Excellent verbal communication
Available for a minimum of 20 hours per week (flexible schedules are negotiable)
Sound technical background
Strong written and oral communication skills
Understanding of basic hydrologic and hydraulic principles
Familiarity with Microsoft Excel
Preferred
Experience with HEC-RAS (1D/2D), HEC-HMS, SWMM5 and/or ArcGIS
