Accounts Payable Accounting Technician
Salish Kootenai College is seeking an Accounts Payable Accounting Technician to maintain the College Accounts Payable and Purchasing functions. The role involves processing voucher payments, tracking purchase orders, and ensuring financial integrity through vendor reconciliations and other business office tasks.

Responsibilities
Responsible for the full accounts payable cycle by accurately processing voucher payments, tracking all purchase orders and credit card transactions, and performing vendor reconciliations
Ensure financial integrity by balancing the Accounts Payable and resolving account discrepancies in a timely, systematic manner to maintain optimal vendor relations
Prepare and enter assigned monthly adjustments
Responsible for assigned miscellaneous billing
Prepare, mail and submit 1099 tax forms
Assist the Business Office team as needed
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
AA degree in Accounting/Business or 3 years working experience in this field
Must be detail oriented and proficient in 10-key
Experience in data entry, Excel and Word is required
Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
The individual must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Carry out normal responsibilities and be flexible in meeting unusual situations with professionalism
Preferred
Prior knowledge of the Jenzabar accounting system
