Responsibilities

Develop and maintain 2D CAD drawings including process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, one-lines, general layouts, plans, sections, and details
Produce computer-generated drawings, isometrics, schedules, and data sheets in accordance with established specifications and standards
Review engineering designs and drawings to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with applicable drafting standards
Prepare dimensional and non-dimensional drawings to support engineering and construction activities
Revise drawings based on direction from engineers, designers, or project leads
Collaborate with multi-discipline design teams and support interface coordination across engineering disciplines
Communicate effectively with project team members to resolve drawing-related questions and issues
Provide document control support, drawing database administration, and progress reporting
Coordinate and communicate design changes and issues with internal and external engineering stakeholders
Keep supervisors informed of drawing progress, deviations, and execution concerns
Support internal engineering initiatives, standards development, and continuous improvement efforts as assigned

Required

Associate degree in Drafting, Design Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
Previous experience in a closely related CAD design or drafting role
Proficiency in 2D CAD software, including AutoCAD (required)
General knowledge of engineering drawing standards and drafting best practices
Ability to manage multiple tasks, adapt to changing priorities, and meet tight deadlines
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based, multi-discipline environment
Fluent in English for technical and business communication

Preferred

Experience with MicroStation and/or SmartSketch
