Responsibilities
Perform design services requiring a full understanding of drawings, specifications, and industry and Company standards covering the assigned work
Prepare design sketches, cost estimates, bill of materials and any other required documents and reports for construction and maintenance projects of a complex nature with neatness and a minimum of errors
Take a significant role in the preparation of cost estimates, specifications, evaluations, and requisitions
Assist in the preparation of engineering calculations
Acquire on-site field data to accomplish the design or to monitor and evaluate equipment performance as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
0-2 years of electric utility distribution design experience with a utility or consulting engineering firm with demonstrated project capability required
Bachelors Degree or greater in Engineering from an accredited college or university
Demonstrated ability and/or experience with AutoCAD, Work Management systems (Maximo, SAP, etc.), Pole Loading Software (PLS-CADD, O-Calc, SPIDAcalc, etc.), and GIS systems
Ability to handle contact with clients and other agencies in connection with project design responsibilities
Ability to follow prescribed standards and procedures
Demonstrated leadership and technical capability to perform to job responsibilities
Preferred
Experience working in field and office
