Responsibilities
Review, edit, and finalize attorney pre-bills and monthly client invoices
Compile and bill attorney hours; prepare and submit e-bills per client guidelines
Research and resolve billing inquiries, audits, and payment discrepancies
Track invoice approvals and follow through on billing issues
Process cash receipts and support accounts receivable functions
Set up and close client and matter records in the billing system
Generate billing history, accounts receivable, and financial analysis reports
Collaborate with attorneys, clients, vendors, and internal staff
Assist the Accounting Manager with special projects as needed
Qualification
Required
High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred
5+ years of billing/e-billing experience, ideally in legal or professional services
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and billing systems (e.g., Aderant/Expert Sierra)
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication with professional diplomacy
Strong organization and time-management skills in a deadline-driven environment
Solid math and reconciliation skills
Reliable, collaborative, and able to work independently with sound judgment
Preferred
