DTV Production Assistant

They are seeking a DTV Production Assistant to assist the lead DTV teacher with hands-on instruction in television broadcasting, manage a high-definition studio, and oversee student productions.

Education Management

Responsibilities

Assist with managing the 24-hour DTV channel on Cablecast and Charter channel 191
Assist with DTV's socials, including live streams
Must be flexible with daily scheduling of time. This position includes regularly scheduled evenings and some weekends to support and broadcast district events such as school performances and sporting events
Assist with providing high-quality instruction in the subject area and work effectively with high school and middle school aged students
Ability to help students connect with career opportunities in the subject area
Be an excellent communicator with parents, students, and colleagues
Embrace the District Vision Statement as well as DTV's branding and reputation
Demonstrate mental/physical ability and stamina for meeting the requirements of the position
The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District
Maintain regular, reliable, and punctual attendance
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Must have a bachelor's degree in broadcast or media arts related field
Possess, or able to acquire, a valid Standard Michigan Teacher Certificate with CTE endorsement in the area of Radio and Television Broadcast Technology (10.0202) preferred
Experience in live broadcast control room operations
Ability to manage a high-definition television studio environment

Preferred

Experience with Ross equipment and Dante systems preferred
