7+ years expTop Workforce Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Lead Power BI Developer / Director to own the design, development, optimization, and strategic direction of enterprise Power BI solutions. This senior, hands-on leadership role requires a Power BI expert who excels in building high-quality dashboards and complex data models while providing technical direction and mentorship across the BI function.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain advanced Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic models
Build and optimize complex DAX measures, calculated tables, and KPIs
Lead enterprise-wide data modeling, scalability, and performance tuning initiatives
Develop Power Query (M) transformations and oversee data refresh and optimization strategies
Implement and govern Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS)
Define and enforce Power BI development standards, best practices, and governance frameworks
Own BI architecture, deployment pipelines, and application lifecycle management (ALM)
Guide BI roadmap planning in alignment with business and IT strategy
Serve as the technical lead and mentor for Power BI developers and analysts
Provide architectural guidance and design reviews across BI initiatives
Partner with data engineering, IT, and business leaders to translate requirements into scalable, enterprise-ready BI solutions
Qualification
Required
7+ years of hands-on Power BI or business intelligence development experience
Expert-level proficiency in Power BI, DAX, data modeling, and performance optimization
Strong experience with Power Query (M) and SQL-based data sources
Experience working within Azure, Microsoft Power Platform, and Microsoft 365 ecosystems
Familiarity with deployment pipelines, version control, and BI application lifecycle management (ALM)
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Preferred
Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Tabular Editor, or Azure DevOps
Power Apps and Power Automate development experience
Microsoft Power BI and/or Power Platform certifications
