NEOGOV is seeking an Electrician Journeyman to join the City of Laredo's Utilities Department. The role involves performing skilled electrician work to ensure a safe and reliable electrical environment in wastewater treatment plants and booster stations, including installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.

Responsibilities
Installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures
Inspects control panel, junction boxes, and mission control box to check for proper functionality
Troubleshoots systems; tests, locates problems, and repairs electrical circuits and equipment
Performs preventative maintenance in control panels; cleans junction boxes, checks voltage and amperage, and inspects fuses, relays, and wiring connections
Repairs and/or replaces equipment as needed
Maintains inventory of electrical supplies; prepares reports and maintains records
Performs related work as required
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or G.E.D
At least two (2) years of journeyman electrician level experience
Journeyman Electrician License from the State of Texas is required
Valid Texas Driver License. If applicant holds an out-of-state license, a State of Texas Driver License must be obtained within 6 months of employment
