Business Manager Costco
Acosta Group is seeking an experienced CPG sales professional to lead client portfolio management and drive go-to-market strategy for Costco HQ in San Diego. This role focuses on increasing sales, growing market share, and delivering profitable results for clients and Acosta.
Responsibilities
Manage client portfolios and deliver volume, share, and sales fundamentals (merchandising, assortment, pricing, shelving)
Maximize profitability, trade management, and ROI
Build strategic plans that support client business and volume objectives
Develop new business opportunities and expand existing business
Serve as the main point of contact for client and customer initiatives
Create data-driven selling stories using customer, market, and client insights
Deliver formal business reviews throughout the fiscal year
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, clients, and customers
Maintain accurate client/customer information, including costing, distribution, and KPIs
Monitor market trends and competitive activity
Coordinate market visits and key account calls
Share best practices to improve team efficiency
Manage personal skill development and growth plans
Utilize client systems to track promotions and manage funds (as needed)
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required
5+ years of CPG experience in sales or analytics (food broker or major national brand preferred)
Proven track record of sales success using analytical and strategic thinking
Ability to interpret complex data and create actionable solutions
Strong relationship‑building and negotiation skills
Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational abilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation
