Responsibilities

Analyzing law enforcement reports and records to ensure data accuracy, resolve conflicts, and validate compliance with legal and regulatory standards
Overseeing the processing of disciplinary actions and traffic citations to ensure procedural compliance and the accurate recording of final dispositions in the ALERTS database
Supervising a team of police records personnel by planning and assigning work, establishing performance standards, and handling all related personnel matters
Managing the release of sensitive information by applying Privacy Act and FOIA regulations to respond to inquiries from agencies, commanders, and the public
Providing training and guidance to subordinates and agency personnel on law enforcement reporting procedures and the use of the ALERTS database

Required

One year of specialized experience which includes: Reviewing law enforcement reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established procedures
Processing administrative and disciplinary actions by tracking suspense dates and recording final dispositions
Preparing packets for administrative sanctions by compiling required documentation in accordance with regulations
Responding to official information requests by searching, verifying, and releasing sensitive records in accordance with regulations
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret (T3) clearance
Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application
Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications

Preferred

Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Administration, Criminal Justice, & Police Science fields of study
