Responsibilities
Analyze production issues to determine root cause
Propose permanent fixes or temporary workarounds
Clearly communicate issues, root causes, and solutions
Collaborate with front-line support and other technology teams
Proactively take ownership of new work
Perform requirements analysis, design, and implementation
Develop ETL solutions using Informatica, Hadoop, PL/SQL, Linux scripting, etc
Identify process gaps and recommend improvements
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Qualification
Required
10+ years of overall ETL and data warehousing development experience
Strong experience with Big Data technologies (HDFS, Spark, Impala, Hive, etc.) and/or Informatica PowerCenter
Oracle database experience with strong ability to write and understand SQL
Working knowledge of Linux basics, including shell scripting
Strong troubleshooting and data analysis skills with the ability to identify root causes
Experience with data movement and transformation technologies
Strong leadership skills with ownership mentality
Self-starter who proactively completes assigned tasks
Clear verbal and written communication skills
High attention to detail to ensure adherence to mandates, regulations, and technical guidelines
Curious mindset with eagerness to learn new technologies and business processes
Preferred
Python, shell scripting, or other programming languages
AutoSys job scheduling experience
