Responsibilities
Align data governance strategy with Supply Chain business goals, priorities, and value outcomes
Lead the rollout, execution, and ongoing enhancement of the Data Governance Program across Supply Chain data domains
Chair and facilitate the Supply Chain Data Governance Council, including agenda development, meeting facilitation, and documentation of decisions and actions
Oversee data steward activities to ensure consistent application of enterprise data governance standards, policies, and operating models
Partner with strategic initiatives and programs (e.g., Polaris) to embed governance practices into delivery workflows
Drive the identification, prioritization, and resolution of critical data quality, data ownership, and accountability issues
Ensure Supply Chain data domains are aligned with enterprise data definitions, policies, standards, and architectural guidelines
Monitor governance effectiveness through metrics, dashboards, and reporting, and lead continuous improvement initiatives
Steward progress and domain health using standardized reporting and performance indicators
Advocate for data governance best practices, stewardship, and data literacy across Supply Chain domains
Mentor data specialists, analysts, and stewards to build governance capability and domain expertise
Foster a culture of data accountability, transparency, and informed decision‑making
Qualification
Required
Proven experience leading the design and implementation of data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and operating models within large, complex organizations
Strong knowledge of industry‑recognized data governance frameworks and practices (e.g., DAMA‑DMBOK, DCAM)
Experience with data governance and metadata management tools such as Collibra and/or Microsoft Purview
Demonstrated ability to facilitate discussions, influence without authority, and collaborate across business and technical teams
5+ years of experience in data governance, business data management, data management, or related roles
Preferred
Experience supporting Supply Chain, Operations, or Asset‑intensive business domains
Experience in the energy or industrial sector
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both executive and practitioner audiences
Familiarity with data quality management, data lineage, and master or reference data concepts
