TRAINING SPECIALIST (INSTRUCTOR)

Responsibilities

Implements, evaluates, and coordinates USTRANSCOM's education and evaluation programs
Recommends various courses of action to ensure senior leadership has alternatives to resolve problems associated with USTRANSCOM training programs
Performs evaluations of a full range of USTRANSCOM and its subordinate command's training programs and develops and executes improvement and enhancement plans
Prepares and delivers written reports and oral presentations, including briefings, training sessions, consultations, orientations, and discussions with USTRANSCOM leadership, supervisors, co-workers, and customers
Conducts extensive analysis of available facts, applicable directives, laws, and other guidelines, which may be only partially relevant, in the resolution for dealing with especially difficult and complex problems and particularly controversial issues

Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft/vehicle to conferences, meetings, or functions away from the duty office/location. Travel may include overnight stays
May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours and/or Shift work may be required which may include overtime and/or irregular hours
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service: Plan and develop training programs to include gathering facts, evaluating on/education/training needs, and making adjustments and improvements
Perform training evaluation and monitor to determine operational effectiveness, ensuring compliance requirements are met, and recommend methods to improve programs
Develop effective training programs with theories, principals, and procedures
