Software Engineer Intern
QED Technologies is looking for a motivated Software Engineering Intern to join our team for the upcoming term. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of sophisticated hardware and high-performance software, assisting in developing, testing, and maintaining software applications for CNC optical polishing and metrology equipment.

Responsibilities
Assist in designing and implementing new software features under the mentorship of senior engineers
Develop and execute manual and automated tests to ensure software reliability and performance
Identify, document, and resolve software defects in a collaborative team environment
Maintain clear technical documentation for software designs and user interfaces (working alongside our Documentation Specialist-Intern)
Partner with Controls, Mechanical, and Optics engineers to understand system requirements and hardware-software integration
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
Proficiency in at least one major language (e.g., C++, C#, or Java). Experience with .NET frameworks is a plus
Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex logical issues
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and team updates
A proactive learner with a genuine interest in precision engineering or robotics
