The Industrial Engineering Intern will focus on process improvement projects at Flow Safe’s manufacturing facility, aiming to increase productivity and reduce costs while maintaining quality standards.

Responsibilities
Conduct, support, and lead identified improvement projects to resolve production issues, eliminate waste, and minimize cost in alignment with company objectives
Assist with time studies, workflow measurements, and data collection on manufacturing processes
Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
Support the development of standardized training and work instructions
Collaborate with multiple production areas and resource groups about existing and potential manufacturing processes and their capabilities
Report generation, data mining, and concept creation/proposal development
Expected to resolve problems through the application of acquired expertise guided by precedent
Works together with people from the business unit. Contacts are under guidance and/or geared towards specifying activities. This individual will plan activities towards execution of assigned projects and will gain/give explanations on technical issues
Communicates with direct team and supervisor
Presents to internal teams on metrics, project status, and research
Qualification
Required
Enrolled in an accredited bachelor's degree in industrial engineering program
Minimum GPA requirement of 3.0
Must be highly collaborative and able to work in a team-based environment
Must have excellent problem analysis and problem resolution skills at both a strategic and functional level
Must have the ability to identify trends and establish proactive corrective actions
Exceptional computer skills are required, including extensive knowledge of spreadsheet, presentation and database software, proficiency with various e-mail, calendaring, meeting management, and related communications software
At the conclusion of the internship, interns will showcase their core competencies in an executive presentation to present accomplishments and lessons learned through the course of the internship
