Responsibilities
Partner with audit teams to identify opportunities where data analytics can improve financial, operational, and compliance audits
Develop and execute advanced analytics procedures to detect anomalies, trends, and emerging risks
Extract, clean, transform, and prepare datasets from multiple systems using tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, SSAS, and Excel Power Query
Apply SQL and Python to design automated workflows, repeatable testing routines, and continuous monitoring solutions
Build dashboards and visualizations to clearly communicate findings and insights to leadership
Contribute to enterprise risk assessments and offer data-driven recommendations to enhance controls and audit methodologies
Identify control weaknesses, inefficiencies, or fraud indicators and propose improvement strategies
Integrate audit principles, governance standards, and risk management frameworks into analytics design and execution
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or auditing with strong knowledge of audit principles and enterprise risk management
Public accounting experience preferred (Big 4 or comparable firm strongly ideal)
Advanced experience with data analytics and visualization tools; Power BI required. Experience with Alteryx, SSAS, and Excel Power Query preferred
Proficiency with SQL and Python for data extraction, transformation, and automated analysis
Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross‑functionally and serve as a trusted advisor to leadership
Highly detail‑oriented, analytical, and skilled in problem‑solving within a fast‑paced environment
Preferred
Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, CISA, or analytics‑focused credentials
Business process audit experience or willingness to expand into broader operational audit areas
Ability to thrive in collaborative, dynamic environments with frequent exposure to executive leadership
