Medicaid/Medicare Administrative Specialist

Responsibilities

Provide administrative and logistical support for LTCA’s Medicare-Medicaid integration initiatives, including scheduling meetings, preparing materials, and maintaining records
Assist with intake and triage of inquiries from dual eligible beneficiaries, providers, and stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate responses and tracking and trending of all complaints and escalations
Serve as a liaison between LTCA and the District’s Ombudsman offices, including the Office of the Health Care Ombudsman and Bill of Rights and the Office of the Long-Term Care Ombudsman
Support the documentation and tracking of beneficiary cases, program activities, and performance metrics related to dual programs
Maintain organized filing systems (electronic and physical) for program documentation, correspondence, and reports
Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and briefing materials for internal and external stakeholders
Coordinate logistics for outreach events, stakeholder meetings, and training sessions related to dual eligible programs
Support SHIP-related functions, including data entry, Medicare/SHIP appointment scheduling, and follow-up communications with beneficiaries
Monitor and update contact lists, distribution lists, and program databases to ensure accuracy and completeness
Collaborate with LTCA staff and other DHCF teams to ensure smooth coordination of duals-related activities
Perform data entry and quality assurance checks for program tracking systems
Provide support for special projects and initiatives as assigned by LTCA leadership
Perform other administrative duties as required to support the effective operation of dual eligible programs

Required

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred
Minimum of three (3) years of relevant administrative or clerical experience, preferably in a health care or public sector environment
Experience supporting programs serving Medicaid or Medicare beneficiaries is highly desirable
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and comfort working with databases and tracking systems
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders
Professional demeanor and commitment to confidentiality and customer service

Preferred

Associate degree or higher preferred
Experience supporting programs serving Medicaid or Medicare beneficiaries is highly desirable
