Senior Systems Specialist – Endpoint/App

Seminole State College of Florida is seeking a Senior Systems Specialist – Endpoint/App to administer, support, and troubleshoot enterprise and departmental systems. This role focuses on providing advanced technical support and ensuring system reliability and application availability across the campus technology services.

Responsibilities

Administers, configures, maintains, patches, and upgrades assigned software applications to ensure security, stability, and performance across the organization
Provides second-level technical support for hardware and software technical support issues including troubleshooting, diagnostics, vendor coordination, root-cause analysis, and resolution follow up
Develops, maintains, and standardizes technical documentation, including application support procedures, system configurations, standards, operational runbooks, troubleshooting steps, and known issues
Leads application deployments, upgrades, testing, and change management activities, coordinating with stakeholders and end users to minimize disruption and ensure smooth implementation
Serves as a technical escalation point for Help Desk and technical staff, providing guidance, support and resolution of incidents and service requests
Provides primary systems-level support for print services for multi-function and other specialty printers in offices and computer labs
Installs, configures, and decommissions computer workstations, applications, and associated peripherals in accordance with established standards and lifecycle practices
Maintains accurate asset management records, documenting hardware and software moves, changes, and decommissioning in the asset database
Builds or runs checks on computer images for deployment
Monitors and ensures system reliability, availability, and responsiveness to meet the operational needs of campus users
Provides backup support to maintain smart classroom technologies, including projectors, instructional systems, to ensure instructional continuity
Performs other duties as may be required or assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in from a regionally or nationally accredited institution
Three years of relevant experience in enterprise IT systems troubleshooting and installation
OR Associate degree from a regionally or nationally accredited institution
Seven years of relevant experience in enterprise IT systems troubleshooting and installation
OR Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma
Nine years of relevant experience in enterprise IT systems troubleshooting and installation
Ability to install hardware and software
Demonstrated ability to create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including operational runbooks
Knowledge of best practices, compliance standards, and data governance principles as they apply to modern technology systems
Ability to analyze complex technical problems and respond effectively to incidents in high-complexity technical environments
Excellent in Microsoft operating systems and MS Office Skills
Ability to work with minimal supervision both independently and as a member of a team
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks
Demonstrated skills as a collaborative member in a team environment
Ability to treat confidential information with sensitivity
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Strong ability to think critically, diagnose problems and provide resolution to problem issues
Ability to exhibit a professional, courteous demeanor
Committed to working in a multicultural environment

Preferred

Experience with deployment software such as, but not limited to, KACE, Intune, or SCCM (Systems Center Configuration Manager)
Experience working in a higher education or government setting
