Responsibilities
Create detailed 2D and 3D models, drawings, and assemblies using CAD tools, primarily SolidWorks
Generate bills of material, schematics, and other associated documentation
Participate in design reviews and contribute creative engineering solutions
Check and review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards
Research and process Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
Coordinate with suppliers on component specifications and selection
Support prototype builds and testing to validate design concepts
Contribute to continuous improvement projects and R&D initiatives
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Strong proficiency with SolidWorks (part modeling, assemblies, and drawings)
Working knowledge of GD&T, standard drafting conventions, and machine design principles
Familiarity with structures, materials, welded/joined assemblies, rotating equipment, and hydraulic systems
Understanding of manufacturing processes and capabilities
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Effective verbal and written communication skills; able to collaborate with coworkers, customers, and suppliers
High school diploma or GED with relevant experience, OR A.S. in Mechanical Technology (preferred)
5-10 years' experience with SolidWorks
