The Boeing Company is seeking an Assembler Seal Team Lead to join their in-tank seal team in North Charleston, South Carolina. The Team Lead will be responsible for overseeing production assembly operations, planning, training, and process improvements while ensuring safety and performance metrics are met.

Responsibilities

Performs complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools

Crafts effective resource plans

Identifies and communicates risks to First Line Leader

Updates and communicates BPS metrics

Identifies KPI improvement actions

Assigns daily work

Leads team in daily safety check-in

Monitors and reports daily progress to plan

Works with support organizations and First Line Leader to mitigate performance risk

Documents and communicates shift turnover

Establishes overtime requirements and staffing

Responsible for monitor and control of 5S

Utilizes Rapid Problem Solving (RPS) and coordinates with Line Side Control Center (LSCC) to address issues

Creates standardized work instructions

Support teammates to improve their job performance including identifying training

Responsible for BPS process improvements

Leads Kamishibai audits and Gemba walks

Required

Ability to work 2nd shift

3+ years' experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing

1+ year of experience in a lead role as either a team-builder or a team-leader

1+ year experience with the operations process involving the 787-airplane manufacturing program
