Responsibilities
Advises and assists the most senior construction site representative in the establishment and management of ESHARP Management and Parsons SH&E processes, identifying and eliminating/controlling any hazards to persons and property
Manages a team of safety specialists
Inspects the job site to detect and provide direction of correction of safety hazards
Initiates and conducts accident investigations and prepares investigations with root causes
Represents management during safety inspections of the job site by regulatory authorities or client representatives
Receives, reviews and distributes safety inspection reports with recommended corrective actions
Conducts risk assessments for upcoming work and provides technical assistance to the safety planning process
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
Qualification
Required
OSHA 30 Certified
Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field (or equivalent experience) and typically 5+ years of related work experience in the field of Health and Safety, including some supervisory experience
Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are also required
Must have US person status and ability to obtain/maintain US federal program site and systems accesses by means of passing background check
Preferred
Professional certification preferred
Heavy constructions experience preferred
Prior federal government project experience highly desired
Local applicants strongly preferred
