Responsibilities
Provide Tier 1–3 technical support for system, server, and end-user issues
Deliver exceptional customer service to users with varying levels of technical expertise
Respond to and resolve break/fix incidents related to servers, desktops, laptops, and peripherals
Configure, deploy, and maintain Linux (Red Hat) and Windows server environments
Install, configure, and replace desktop/laptop hardware and peripheral devices
Monitor system performance, server resources, logs, and service availability
Investigate, diagnose, and recover from hardware and software failures
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access through Active Directory
Maintain accurate system documentation, architecture diagrams, inventory, and maintenance records
Track and document system changes, updates, and configurations
Perform daily system monitoring, backups, file archival, and recovery operations
Apply operating system patches, upgrades, and administrative tool updates
Support cybersecurity initiatives including threat detection, mitigation, and security monitoring
Assist with performance reporting, capacity planning, and resource optimization
Coordinate with stakeholders and communicate impacts during outages or maintenance
Support GIS or Asset Management system infrastructure as needed
Qualification
Required
3–5 years of professional experience as a System Administrator
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet service and operational objectives
Strong creativity, multitasking, and time management skills
Linux (Red Hat) and Windows Server administration
Desktop, laptop, and server hardware support
Active Directory administration
Virtualization technologies (VMware)
Backup and recovery solutions
Help Desk / Tier III support
Customer service and user support
Cybersecurity operations and security monitoring (2+ years)
Hands-on experience with network equipment (3+ years)
Experience supporting Video Management Systems (2+ years)
