Power Systems Project Engineer

Responsibilities
Run engineering activities throughout the full project lifecycle
Coordinate work with multidisciplinary teams and external partners
Serve as the main technical contact for project stakeholders
Develop cost‑effective solutions and support proposal activities
Apply safety, quality, and contract standards across engineering tasks
Support construction and commissioning phases
Investigate risks and apply mitigation steps
Produce detailed design documents and technical drawings
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines
Qualification
Required
Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field
2+ years of experience with power system substations
Solid knowledge of NEC, ANSI/IEEE, and high‑voltage substation design
Familiarity with power system technologies such as GIS and PASS
Experience working in EPC project environments
Proficiency with BIM/Autodesk Construction Cloud and Revit
Professional Engineering (PE) License or ability to obtain
