Software Engineer Intern

Responsibilities

Feature Development: Assist in designing and implementing new software features under the mentorship of senior engineers
Testing & QA: Develop and execute manual and automated tests to ensure software reliability and performance
Bug Resolution: Identify, document, and resolve software defects in a collaborative team environment
Documentation: Maintain clear technical documentation for software designs and user interfaces (working alongside our Documentation Specialist-Intern)
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Controls, Mechanical, and Optics engineers to understand system requirements and hardware-software integration

Qualification

Required

Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
Proficiency in at least one major language (e.g., C++, C#, or Java). Experience with .NET frameworks is a plus
Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex logical issues
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and team updates
A proactive learner with a genuine interest in precision engineering or robotics
