Responsibilities
Establish and maintain quality standards for fire sprinkler service operations
Provide technical oversight and sign-off on fire sprinkler system designs and service documentation in accordance with Texas regulations
Perform complex troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades of fire sprinkler systems, including wet, dry, pre-action, and antifreeze systems
Oversee and supervise fire sprinkler service projects, ensuring adherence to NFPA codes, local AHJ requirements, and company standards
Lead fire pump inspections, rebuilds, repairs, and replacements
Train, mentor, and evaluate technicians to ensure consistent technical competency and safety compliance
Support inspection readiness and documentation for audits, AHJ reviews, and customer requirements
Collaborate with project management and operations teams to improve service delivery, scheduling, and resource utilization
Design and layout fire sprinkler systems for new construction, tenant improvements, renovations, and system modifications
Prepare detailed design drawings, hydraulic calculations, and material takeoffs
Generate build lists, order materials, and coordinate with vendors and internal teams
Prepare and submit permit applications and design packages to Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs)
Attend project kickoff and turnover meetings to ensure alignment between design, installation, and service teams
Develop complete submittal packages, including drawings, calculations, product data, and compliance documentation
Support method improvements and standardization of design practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Work closely with field teams to resolve design-related issues during installation and commissioning
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 5 years of experience servicing fire sprinkler systems, including wet, dry, pre-action, and antifreeze systems
Experience with fire pump rebuilds, testing, and replacements
Current RME-G license for the State of Texas
OSHA 30 certification
TWIC card (or ability to obtain)
3–5 years of supervisory or lead technician experience
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Strong knowledge of NFPA standards, state regulations, and local fire codes
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and lead teams in a fast-paced environment
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a fire sprinkler designer
Expertise in designing wet, dry, pre-action, and antifreeze systems; water mist systems preferred
Current RME-G license for the State of Texas
OSHA 30 certification
Proficiency with fire sprinkler design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, HydraCAD, or similar tools)
Strong understanding of NFPA codes, hydraulic calculations, and AHJ requirements
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
Preferred
NICET certification (Level II–IV) in Fire Sprinkler Systems
Experience working with commercial, industrial, healthcare, or mission-critical facilities
Familiarity with integrated life safety systems (fire alarm, suppression, monitoring)
Experience supporting multi-site projects and cross-functional teams
