Responsibilities
Design and model resilient IBM Mainframe architectures for complex transportation and logistics workflows
Lead development and enhancement of CICS applications supporting high-volume OLTP environments
Architect and develop core business logic using COBOL, ensuring performance and scalability
Architect and optimize DB2 data models and SQL for high-volume datasets and critical business operations
Develop and maintain advanced JCL for batch processing automation and operational efficiency
Utilize IBM Mainframe Utilities to manage resources, data integrity, and system availability
Assess legacy systems to identify opportunities for optimization and modernization
Provide architectural leadership and mentor development teams through complex releases and upgrades
Support production environments by proactively monitoring system health and resolving critical issues
Qualification
Required
Expert-level experience in enterprise application development using COBOL
Strong command of batch processing and workload automation using JCL
Advanced expertise in database design, SQL tuning, and performance optimization using DB2
Hands-on experience with online transaction processing systems using CICS
Proficiency in standard mainframe utilities for system and data management
Preferred
Experience with freight, transit, or logistics systems in the Transportation & Logistics Domain
Proven ability to modernize or integrate legacy mainframe systems with newer platforms
