Eaton is a company focused on technology-driven solutions and is seeking a Product Engineering Intern for the Summer 2026. This twelve-week paid internship will provide hands-on experience in new product development, where the intern will work alongside experienced engineers to perform engineering analyses, create designs, and develop verification tests.

Responsibilities

Develop, sustain, and improve product design and product definition data

Learn and perform engineering analysis and digital simulation leveraging advanced tools

Support production and manufacturing engineering with prototype and pilot builds

Collaborate with global design and manufacturing teams

Develop sub-system verification tests which include designing and developing custom fixtures

Learn and utilize Design for X techniques to drive design optimization

Required

Actively enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering at an accredited institution with a graduation date no earlier than December 2026

Minimum GPA of 2.8 or above

Able to work in the United States on an ongoing basis without company sponsorship

Must be geographically flexible to relocate within the United States

Preferred

Prior internship or co-op experience

Minimum GPA of 3.2 or above

Experience in 3D modeling

Hands-on experience building prototypes or other equipment
