Communications Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

Design and maintain advanced voice, data, RF, and network communication systems for flight simulators
Modernize and enhance legacy comms systems critical to real‑time training
Integrate SDRs, satellite comms, and modern RF tech into existing simulator platforms
Work hands‑on with software and hardware teams to ensure seamless real-time performance
Develop and optimize comms protocols and algorithms for high‑fidelity simulation
Troubleshoot complex communication issues and support mission‑critical readiness

Required

Bachelor's in EE, CE, Communications Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
8+ years in comms systems engineering for real-time or mission-critical environments
Expertise in TCP/IP, UDP, VoIP, SDRs, RF, or satellite comms
Familiarity with MIL‑STD, ARINC, and RTCA standards
Ability to work in Agile or Waterfall environments
U.S. citizenship + ability to obtain/maintain DoD Secret clearance and Special Program Access
Willingness to support occasional travel and variable schedules
Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures
Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance
Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role
