WATER RESOURCES TREATMENT MAINTENANCE & OPERATIONS INTERN
Fayetteville Public Works Commission is dedicated to providing reliable electric, water, and sewer services to its customers. They are seeking a Water Resources Treatment Maintenance & Operations Intern to support water treatment maintenance and operations by improving asset data and enhancing preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities
Enter and validate asset data in the asset management system
Align field asset information with WACS
Assist with creating, reviewing, and closing work orders
Support preventive maintenance scheduling and identify gaps
Perform basic data checks and simple reporting
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in an accredited associate or bachelor's degree program in Engineering, Construction Management, Information System or Management Information Systems, Environmental Science, Supply Chain, or related field
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Applicants should be able to commit to the entire internship duration
Preferred
Sophomore standing level or higher preferred
Exposure to CMMS/EAM systems (e.g., WACS, Maximo, Cityworks, SAP PM)
Structured data entry, data validation, or asset inventory projects
Basic understanding of maintenance of work orders, equipment records, or infrastructure assets
