Responsibilities

Perform mechanical design under the direction of others
Use Surface Modeling techniques to design organic shells and/or skins for audio-animatronic figures
Work with our production teams to track floor changes
Gain knowledge in the design of animatronic figures

Required

Basic knowledge of mechanical components and manufacturing processes
Experience with 3D design software, such as Solidworks, Rhino, Fusion 360, Geomagic DesignX, ZBrush, Maya, NTopology
Experience with 3D Printing, 3D Scanning, Model Making or Tooling Design
Experience with engineering analysis software, such as Ansys
Experience with specification and design of composite materials, silicones or urethanes
Currently enrolled as a Junior or higher attending an accredited college/university earning a degree majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Engineering Technology, or related field
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program
Able to provide reliable transportation to/from work
Must be fully available for the duration of the internship
A portfolio review is required for this position

Preferred

Demonstrated/proven strong leadership, technical and interpersonal skills
Self-starter with demonstrated initiative - able to handle multiple tasks and priorities
Digital sculpting experience
