Responsibilities
Manage the creation, updating, and implementation of procedures, system documentation, and standards, including SOPs, coding standards, version control, and testing methodologies
Develop and maintain user manuals, training guides, maintenance documentation, and operational engineering packages
Document code review processes, software deployment and release plans, configuration control, and management
Define and document testing methodology, product acceptance criteria, system tolerances, and procedural guidelines for testing, operations, and repairs
Update documentation to reflect system changes, upgrades, and new features
Collaborate with technical teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of all documentation
Support the development and delivery of training materials and sessions for end users and maintenance staff
Coordinate and participate in the development of briefing slides and materials for presentations to FAA management
Ensure all documentation is accessible, user-friendly, and compliant with FAA standards
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in information systems, business systems, management information system, other IT degrees with 8+ years of experience is required
Experience in technical writing and documentation for complex systems and software, as well as user and maintenance documentation
Knowledge of software development life cycle, coding standards, version control systems, and configuration management
Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, understandable language for diverse audiences
Familiarity with training development and delivery methods
Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills, including experience preparing materials for executive-level presentations
Attention to detail and commitment to documentation quality and accuracy
Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to interface with engineering, operations, and program stakeholders
Excellent interpersonal skills, facilitation, and management skills, written and oral communication skills, and analytical skills
Preferred
Knowledge of FAA documentation standards and requirements is preferred
