Responsibilities
Architect and implement a robust backend model control system, incorporating features like run lineage tracking, model versioning, and governance workflows
Design and build an enterprise-grade policy and permissions engine with support for RBAC, auditing, approval workflows, and traceability
Develop stable, scalable APIs that support both human interaction and autonomous system integrations
Lead infrastructure strategy across multi-tenant SaaS deployments, ensuring security, scalability, and CI/CD best practices
Collaborate with internal teams working on simulators, proprietary LLMs, and knowledge graph technology to ensure seamless data and system integration
Qualification
Required
5–10 years of experience building backend systems in production, especially in Python
Deep expertise in architecting control planes, orchestration platforms, or governance-focused enterprise systems
Demonstrated success scaling backend platforms for enterprise clients in regulated industries (e.g., pharma, biotech, medical, or energy)
Experience with containerized environments (Kubernetes, Docker), cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), and DevOps tools (Terraform, CI/CD)
Strong knowledge of security frameworks (OAuth2, SAML), observability stacks (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK), and secure software design patterns
Preferred
Experience with ML model lifecycle management (e.g., MLflow) or LLM fine-tuning platforms
Exposure to knowledge graph systems like Neo4j or AWS Neptune
Background in building software for scientific domains such as drug discovery, chemical engineering, or battery simulation
