Data and Analytics - Project Associate

As a Project Associate within the Data and Analytics Team, you will be responsible for sourcing and managing data flows from the Finance Risk Warehouse and collaborating with various business reporting teams to meet their data needs.

Responsibilities
Partner closely with the business reporting teams (CCB Controller teams, Regulatory, Treasury, and Risk) to understand information requirements and translate that into FRW data sourcing requirements and related JIRAs
Use demand/story management in an agile framework across multiple product teams, and work with our sub LOB data suppliers (servicing platform product, operational and technical leads) to determine where/if information is available and the controls around it
Determine impact to data flows due to new products, new systems or other Consumer and Community business changes and negotiate amongst a range of possible solutions in a way that is most beneficial to the firm broadly
Assist CARI and other CCB consumers in getting access to/automated flows of data from FRW, especially those businesses that are supported by non CCB systems and conduct UAT testing for enhancement requests and confirm post-production release results
Work with technical leads to develop end to end timelines (CCB system source through to FRW) to ensure sprint alignment across the various product teams
Investigate production data issues/anomalies with CCB line of business teams (Finance, Operations, and Technology) and serve as an escalation point for issues and deployed solutions
Determine opportunities where FRW reports can address needed gaps prior to strategic buildouts in CARI or FRI/LRI/etc
Qualification
Required
2+ years of total experience within MIS, Business Intelligence, and/or Analytics roles
Ability to manage multiple projects at once and translate information requirements into data sourcing and functional requirements that can be clearly understood by the technical teams and the ability to explain technical issues in a way business users understand
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proven ability to interpret and analyze data, identify anomalies, determine root cause, and recommend solutions
Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence an audience
Proficient in SQL query writing. Demonstrated knowledge of data warehousing concepts and exposure to one or more Business Intelligence toolsets and database platforms: AWS or Databricks, Oracle/SQL Server/Teradata
Basic understanding of primary lending or deposit products offered by Consumer and Community Businesses
Preferred
Knowledge of and exposure to Agile methodology and governance principles preferred
Cloud data warehouse experience, e.g. AWS, Databricks
