Responsibilities
Gathers, researches, and helps define cross-functional requirements (e.g., performance, power, cost)
Develops architecture for large or complex features under minimal guidance
Identifies and debugs complex issues for self and others and develops solutions; participates in model/design reviews and recommends model/design improvements
Builds platform, methodology, and tools for modeling and runs simulations and analyses of power, performance, and other KPIs at the sub-system level; interprets results and impact on system or customer requirements and provides feedback to cross-functional teams
Establishes rapport with internal or external users to align on project and feature implementation plans and ensure the needs of all stakeholders are met
Displays deep knowledge in multiple areas; acquires advanced knowledge of industry trends, competitors' products, and advances in various engineering fields related to areas of specialization; shares knowledge of multiple areas within their team and across teams working on similar products
Stays abreast of current and future trends to make suggestions in strategic discussions within and/or across domains about the product/technology roadmap
Leads conversations to generate new ideas and directions to explore for new initiatives; pursues opportunities to plan and develop new ideas
Writes clear and detailed technical documentation, specifications, and/or feature descriptions for highly complex or difficult projects to ensure users and/or customers can easily implement output
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience
PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience
2+ years of experience in one or more system architecture technology areas and products (e.g., Power System, Shared Resource Management, Limits/Thermal Management, Hardware Islands)
Preferred
Master's or Doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
6+ years of experience with programming (e.g., C, C++, Python), computer architecture, or embedded systems
2+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above)
1+ year in a technical leadership role with or without direct reports (only applies to positions with direct reports)
