Vice President, Finance (Site Finance Officer)
RWJBarnabas Health is a leading academic health system in New Jersey, and they are seeking a Vice President of Finance to oversee all financial operations at Monmouth Medical Center. This role includes managing budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, while ensuring financial health and compliance, and working closely with executive leadership to drive performance and support strategic growth initiatives.

Responsibilities
Collaborating on strategic direction, mission advancement, and managing hospital operating and capital budgets
Developing and managing financial forecasts, providing comprehensive variance analysis and recommendations, and working with department managers to develop robust five-year business plans and establish effective short- and long-range goals
Ensuring accurate, timely reporting for internal use, regulators, and government agencies (including monthly closes)
Identifying medical cost trends, leading financial improvements and proactively managing revenue cycle metrics, charge capture, and billing performance
Providing financial education and expertise to clinical and operational leadership
Routinely reviewing state and federal regulations to ensure all financial and operational practices remain compliant
Mentor and manage the site finance team, fostering a high-performance culture
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree with major in Accounting, Economics or other related field required
Eight+ years accounting, office management and accounts receivable experience required, of which three to five years should be in a managerial position
Two to three years of directly related experience in the healthcare financial services, including accounts receivable, field is strongly preferred
Preferred
MBA or Fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association desirable, but not required
Certified Public Accountant is desired or ten - twelve years financial management experience, but not required
