Responsibilities
Respond to Tier 1 through Tier 3 support requests
Deliver exceptional customer service to end users and technical teams
Communicate effectively with individuals of varying technical expertise
Respond to break/fix requests related to end‑user resources
Configure and deploy new or replacement Linux (RedHat) and Windows servers
Configure and deploy new or replacement desktop, laptop, and peripheral equipment
Maintain current project and architecture documentation
Maintain accurate inventory and maintenance records
Monitor system resources for server and service anomalies
Resolve connectivity issues between users and system resources
Maintain detailed change history documentation
Support initiatives to enhance cybersecurity controls and defensive posture
Support threat‑hunting and mitigation efforts
Manage time and resources effectively to meet operational needs
Ensure proper installation, configuration, and operation of hardware, operating systems, and software
Ensure compliance with established policies, standards, and guidelines
Perform system provisioning, operations support, maintenance, and R&D for innovation
Install or rebuild servers, configure hardware, storage, services, and settings per standards
Perform daily system monitoring and verify integrity and availability of hardware, systems, logs, and key processes
Perform regular security monitoring to identify and mitigate intrusions
Perform backup operations and file archival as necessary
Create, modify, and delete user accounts based on requests
Provide Tier III support and troubleshoot complex issues
Diagnose and recover from hardware or software failures
Coordinate communications with impacted stakeholders during issues
Apply operating system patches and upgrades regularly
Configure and add new services as required
Upgrade and configure system software supporting enterprise applications
Maintain configuration and operational procedures documentation
Perform performance reporting to support capacity planning
Perform ongoing performance tuning, resource optimization, and hardware upgrades
Qualification
Required
3–5 years of system administration experience
Ability to respond to multi‑tier support requests and troubleshoot system issues
Experience configuring and deploying Linux (RedHat) and Windows servers
Experience deploying desktops, laptops, and associated peripherals
Strong documentation skills for architecture, change history, and inventory
Experience monitoring system resources and identifying anomalies
Strong troubleshooting skills for user connectivity and system issues
Experience supporting cybersecurity controls and threat‑mitigation activities
Ability to manage time and resources effectively
Knowledge of system provisioning, installation, configuration, and maintenance
Experience applying OS patches, upgrades, and configuring new services
Familiarity with performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization
Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non‑technical users
Experience maintaining backup operations, security monitoring, and system logs
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
