SUMMER INTERNSHIP - CITY PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE
The City of Long Beach is offering a paid summer internship at the City Prosecutor's Office in partnership with Pacific Gateway. The internship involves participating in legal seminars, assignments, and group projects related to the criminal justice process.

Participating in legal seminars
Participation in legal assignments involving researching and writing
Touring various Long Beach agencies involved in the criminal justice process
Participating in group exercises and projects
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Priority is given to Long Beach and Signal Hill residents. Other geographical locations will be considered
Be between the ages of 16 and 24
High school students must have completed their junior or senior year of high school at the start of the program in July 2026
Current college students may apply. College students who are recent graduates by the beginning of the program may apply
Must have a minimum 2.7 GPA and excellent school attendance
Must pass a criminal background check
Must have reliable transportation
Must be available for the entire program (estimated 5-6 weeks)
