Sr. Accountant
PEAK Technical Staffing USA is seeking a Senior Accountant who possesses an in-depth understanding of general accounting and month-end closing. The role involves preparing financial statements, ensuring accuracy in ledgers, and assisting in budget preparation and financial reporting.

Responsibilities
Prepare monthly financial statements, including preparation and maintenance of journal entries, account reconciliations, assist in month/quarter/year end close process and other management reports (e.g., trial balance, balance sheet, P&L etc.) and analysis
Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages to Corporate, including submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports using consolidation software
Ensure accuracy of the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Other Subsidiary Ledgers to the General Ledger
Prepare, confirm, and reconcile related party receivables, payables, and transactions monthly
Prepare sales and use tax schedules and other tax and compliance schedules as required
Provide supporting schedules and documentation to Corporate and external auditors
Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and forecast
Prepare monthly accounting and other management reports, including headcount, detailed sales, and cost of sales by country, trial balance, statement, balance sheet and departmental budget to actual expense, and by intercompany/third party
Prepare load files and input monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and supplemental information as well as budget and forecast using SAP portal and Anaplan Portal, and fix uploading errors
Prepare trend analysis on warranty, returns and bad debt
Input Fixed Assets details using the BNA software and Lab Asset File. Reconcile and book the transactions to JDE
Perform accounting, financial, and administrative tasks as requested by the CFO, Accounting Manager or Cost Accounting Manager
Perform other duties and special projects assigned
Perform various ad-hoc analysis and reconciliations, as necessary
Calculate Sales Commissions for Sales Reps and RSMs
Prepare monthly recurring and ad hoc financial report submissions to Headquarters
Collaborate with other department managers to support overall company goals and objectives, and ensure spending in line with budget
Prepare the monthly Backlog, Bookings and Sales actuals and forecast numbers, based on input from Business Partners
Assist Cost Accounting Manager prepare the recurring monthly Journal Entries
Qualification
Required
A bachelor's degree in accounting
Minimum of 3 to 7 years in general accounting
Advanced/ Intermediate Excel skills, including using pivot tables, x, h, v-lookups, macros, and other functions
Strong organizational skills
Excellent collaborator
Attention to detail and being flexible to manage multiple tasks independently
Ability to manage confidential information
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Exceptional organization and time management skills
Proven ability to meet deadlines while performing task accurately
Initiative-taking with a keen sense of ownership in all areas of responsibility

Proficiency with US GAAP
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions and percentages
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Ability to take incomplete data or instructions, gather/ sort information, analyze information, and provide business insights and/or analyze variances
Preferred
