Northern Colorado Commercial Architectural Drafter – Level 3

Infusion Architects is seeking an experienced Architectural Drafter Level 3 responsible for producing high-quality architectural documents and supporting project design teams. This role requires advanced proficiency in BIM and CAD tools and involves developing detailed architectural drawings and ensuring compliance with building codes.

Responsibilities

Develop detailed architectural drawings, plans, elevations, sections, and construction details from conceptual design through construction documents
Coordinate and integrate consultant information including structural, MEP, civil, and specialty vendor drawings
Ensure compliance with building codes, AIA standards, and firm quality control processes
Participate in project coordination meetings and maintain clear communication with project managers, architects, and engineering teams
Assist in developing design documentation for permitting, bidding, and construction administration
Perform redline updates and participate in quality review iterations
Support BIM model setup, maintenance, and content management
Research materials, finishes, and product specifications to support design solutions
Mentor junior drafters and contribute to internal drafting standards and best practices

Required

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Drafting, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Minimum 5–8 years of architectural drafting experience in a professional design environment
Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD; ability to work within collaborative BIM workflows
Strong knowledge of construction assemblies, industry terminology, and architectural detailing
Understanding of building codes, ADA requirements, and permitting processes
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
Excellent attention to accuracy, clarity, and graphic communication

Preferred

Experience in one or more key project types: commercial, educational, healthcare, civic, residential, industrial, or interiors
Familiarity with Bluebeam, SketchUp, Enscape, Navisworks, or other visualization and coordination tools
Knowledge of sustainability guidelines (LEED, Green Globes, WELL)
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
