Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain integrated BI solutions using EHR-derived data
Build dashboards, reports, and analytic views that support operational decision-making around capacity, throughput, and patient flow
Develop and optimize SQL-based queries, data models, and transformations
Partner closely with data integrity and Epic reporting leads to ensure analytics are built on trusted data
Translate operational questions into clear analytic designs that highlight trends, constraints, and risk
Support integration of multiple data sources into cohesive analytical environments
Improve data validation techniques to strengthen reliability and usability of analytics
Contribute to documentation, metric definitions, and analytic standards to support consistency and scale
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent practical experience
5–9 years of experience in healthcare analytics, BI development, or operational intelligence
Strong SQL development experience (e.g., SQL Server, Snowflake, or equivalent)
Hands-on experience working with EHR-derived data (Epic strongly preferred)
Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent
Understanding of healthcare operations within an integrated delivery system
Preferred
Epic Cogito certification or demonstrated Epic reporting proficiency
Experience with additional EHR platforms such as Cerner, MEDITECH, or other enterprise EHR systems
Experience supporting patient flow, capacity management, or throughput initiatives
Familiarity with data governance principles and data quality practices
Experience developing analytics for executive or operational leadership audiences
