Responsibilities
Execute the regional sourcing activities as defined by the global category strategy from the headquarters, focusing on PV module materials
Serve as the key operational contact in the Americas for the global sourcing team, facilitating communication with local suppliers and internal stakeholders
Manage the daily commercial and operational interface with assigned material suppliers in the region, including order monitoring, delivery tracking, and issue resolution
Collect and report regional market intelligence, supplier performance data, and risk information to the global team in China
Support global RFQ processes and supplier qualification audits by coordinating local logistics and providing regional input
Participate in cross-functional project teams to provide sourcing input for new product introductions and value engineering initiatives
Experience with e-sourcing or procurement platforms
The role requires the incumbent to have basic understanding of U.S. import regulations for industrial goods
Qualification
Required
Bachelor‘s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field
Minimum 5 years of relevant sourcing, procurement, or supply chain experience
At least 2-3 years of experience focused on industrial materials, components, or within the solar/renewable energy sector
Proven experience in commercial negotiations and supplier management
Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for procurement and order management
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel, PowerPoint) and collaborative tools (Teams, Zoom)
Basic understanding of U.S. import regulations for industrial goods
Basic understanding of U.S. trade compliance for imported materials
This role requires domestic and Asia travelling for training and meetings (15%)
Preferred
Direct experience with PV module materials is highly preferred
Good command of English and proficiency in (e.g. Mandarin) will be an added advantage
Certification in sourcing/procurement (e.g., CPSM) or project management (e.g., CAPM)
Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI)
