Responsibilities
Multi-cloud infrastructure spanning AWS, GCP, and Azure with automated failover and disaster recovery capabilities
Customer-managed deployment options including private cloud and on-premises installations with secure networking, automated provisioning, and comprehensive deployment tooling
Global infrastructure supporting data residency and regulatory compliance requirements across multiple regions
Enterprise-grade security including network segmentation, end-to-end encryption, identity provider integration, and private network connectivity
Distributed observability with centralized metrics, logging, and alerting across customer-controlled environments
Infrastructure automation using modern IaC tools and GitOps workflows
Qualification
Required
4+ years building cloud infrastructure or backend systems at high-growth technology companies
Deep hands-on expertise across major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)
Track record designing and running multi-region, highly available production systems
Strong foundation in cloud networking, load balancing, DNS, and content delivery
Built customer-managed deployment solutions (BYOC, private cloud, on-premises)
Created automation for infrastructure provisioning, updates, and lifecycle management
Navigated restricted and air-gapped network environments
Familiarity with compliance standards like SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, or FedRAMP
Expert with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform preferred)
Experience scaling high-throughput data systems and optimizing database performance
Proficiency with distributed streaming platforms and message queues
Container orchestration experience
CS or related technical degree
Senior ownership mentality: you identify problems, architect solutions, and drive them to completion
Hands-on builder who writes code and ships features (not purely management)
Thrives in fast-moving environments where speed and quality both matter
Preferred
Experience shipping customer-managed deployments at scale
Engineers from observability platforms, enterprise AI companies, or data infrastructure SaaS companies
