Responsibilities
Assisting the Project Manager in the design development of transportation projects on local roadways and state highways
Preparation of design concepts and reports through the delivery of plans, specifications, estimates (PS&E) construction documents and support in construction
Coordination with team members, interaction with clients, agency staff, and other consultants under the direction of the Project Manager
Understanding and compliance with project scopes, budgets, and schedules
Providing training for junior staff in technical skills
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
current California registration as a licensed Professional Engineer
minimum of three years of qualifying transportation design engineering
past experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D
experience with Caltrans standards
progressively developing technical skills and knowledge in the delivery of plans, specifications, and estimates
