Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to ensure the procurement of high-quality goods and services at competitive prices. Specialist will assist
Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with company standards
Financial Management: Working with business owners identify opportunities for cost savings, working capital and efficiency improvements
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate price and/or continuity risks to ensure a resilient supply chain
Performance Reporting: Prepare and present procurement performance reports as applicable per category managed to senior management, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement
Lead and execute Request for Proposal (RFP) and other competitive bidding events including conducting due diligence on suppliers, contacting suppliers to communicate requirements, evaluating bids received and summarizing findings with the Business Owner
Qualification
Required
A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is typically required
A minimum of 3 years of progressive procurement experience for Sr Specialist role
1-3 years of experience in procurement for Specialist role
Ability to negotiate favorable terms with suppliers, ensuring the best value for the company while maintaining strong supplier relationships
Proficiency in analyzing market trends and supplier performance data to make informed procurement decisions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
Capability to develop and implement long-term procurement strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives
Expertise in identifying potential risks in the supply chain and developing strategies to mitigate, ensuring a stable supply of materials or services
Preferred
Experience in the consumer packaged goods industry is highly preferred
