Responsibilities

Ensure the safety of all assigned personnel and monitor employees’ compliance to safety
Supervise Dispatching personnel by assessing build plans, delegating work assignments and monitoring the quality and quantity of daily work performed
Provide direction, counseling, training, and instructions as required to achieve departmental and program goals
Oversee kitting areas and ensure kits are ordered, inventoried, secured, and delivered to the shop floor complete and on time to meet the production schedule
Monitor detail shortages/maintain Shop Floor Control data required to identify potential critical items in order to effectively manage the movement of parts and material
Work with Resource Analysts and Operations Planning and Control to identify constraints to ensure positive throughput
Attend meetings as required and work all issues that may impact schedule
Support the efforts of cost reduction through work in process and inventory control

Qualification

Manufacturing ExperienceAnalytical SkillsTeam LeadershipMicrosoft OfficeCommunication Skills

Required

High School Diploma or GED, Bachelors Degree is preferred in Operations, Business Management or related discipline
At least 3 years of experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, Warehousing, and/or Dispatching or Prior Team Leadership in the US Military may be considered equivalent experience
At least one of prior team leadership experience (direct leadership or indirect leadership)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability and desire to work 2nd shift – 3:30 pm to 12:00am on Bell's 9/80 schedule
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Excellent oral and written communications/interpersonal skills

Materials experience preferred but not required
Prior experience with Unionized workforce preferred but not required
